They say that motherhood forever changes you. I fully believe that to be true, in the best possible way. Much like summer fading into autumn, this season of life is all about change–a shift in who we used to be as a woman, now a doting mama. Capturing motherhood on film is quickly becoming my absolute favorite. These moments are so fleeting; I’ve become dedicated to photographing every detail that I can with my own three children, and it’s such an absolute joy to be able to capture the same for others! Film evokes such a timeless feel—it perfectly captures every emotion, every in between moment that we as mothers cling to as the days fly by. I’m profoundly blessed to be able to hold time still in front of my camera for my clients!
I’m so thrilled to finally share this gorgeous motherhood session featuring my dear friend Ashley and her sweet Valerie. Our local orchard in Indianapolis was the perfect place to explore; we walked through the rows of apples in their hues of greens and pinks, while Valerie discovered her voice with singsong coos. It was an Indian summer–much too warm for late September, but we soaked up the sun as it set and talked and laughed about life and motherhood..and sweet baby toes. In my humble opinion, there aren’t many things better than that.
